my last couple of hunts/following the 'dozers

GRAY GHOST

New member
hello all. here's the results of my last three hunts with olddigger. i pulled the us beltplate out the ground this morning. finding the beltplate made my day for sure! it looks a lot better than in the pics! also shown is: a nice low base sharps in wood, a piece of a us swordhanger, a couple of flatbuttons, an 1853 [?!] three cent silver, an 1897 norfolk, va. dog tax tag, a brass ring, lots of rivets, some with the leather, three button backs, and a couple of chewed bullets. many types of bullets are here too, from sharps to .44 colts to three ringers to an occasional enfield and spencer.

it's been a lot of fun! i'm already thinkin' about next time out. now, if i could just find the faces to the button backs....thanks for reading, and hh!

Great job finding that buckle and it has all the attatchments too!!! Are you thinking of having the edge repaired? I personally would leave as is. Gives that nice authentic dug look! Super finds Grey Ghost!!!

Those are great finds. I am glad all I have to follow is skidders and not try and get ahead of the bulldozers. I aint found a mini ball in a month...d2
