My largest pocket spill

Hey there, just wanted to share this pocket spill I found on Tuesday and Wednesday (went back to see if I missed anything on Wednesday). Tuesday night I was hunting at an old masonic temple that the company I work for owns. The boss man gave me permission a few years back and said I could hunt it anytime. This place has given up about 14 silvers and its a very small piece of property. Literally no front yardage, just 2 side yards which are both hills (possible sledding hills). This site in the past gave me a pocket spill of a walking liberty half, 2 silver rosies and 3 wheaties. I thought that was my best spill, but Tuesday was different. I was hunting for about an hour after work and was pretty much digging everything. This place is so trashy due to the fact the building burned down in the 40's and was rebuilt in the 50's. Nails everywhere! I've actually been saving all the trash I've been digging from the site to see how much is really in the ground. So far I am working on filling a 5 gallon bucket lol! Anyways, I was about to call it quits and decided to hit this one little spot that I never really hunted thoroughly. Probably due to the fact that there are power lines above it. I came across a screaming quarter signal. It registered about 3 inches deep on my XLT. I dug the hole and had a hard time locating the target. There was some nulling when I swept the coil over the signal as well as the random chatter from the power lines, but the target still sounded good to me. After expanding the hole and moving dirt around a bit, I spotted a wheatie. It literally flew up in my face as I pried some dirt out of the side wall. I looked down in the pile I just removed and noticed another wheatie, then a memorial, then another memorial, then a wheatie... now i'm pumped because I just know there could be silver in there. Sure enough there was.

Tuesday night totals were 14 wheaties (40's - 50's), 13 memorials dating from 1959 - 1962, and the two Mercs 1918D and 1945. I was on cloud nine, I scanned the hole again and nothing, just got the nulling again. I decided to end the hunt on that spill. Wednesday after work I decided to go back and hunt a little more. I didn't even go back to the pocket spill hole until I was about to leave. I wasn't having any luck anywhere else in the yard so I figured maybe I missed something. I went to the covered hole and scanned it again from several different angles, I finally got another hit. Dug the hole again and managed another memorial from that date period another wheatie and last but not least was the 54D Roosie and another wheat stuck to the back of it. The picture attached is all the coins pulled from both days from that one hole. $0.61 in older change. I love this hobby!

Wednesday night totals were 2 wheaties, 1 memorial and the 1954D Roosie. I broke my record of most old coins found in one hole, but tied my record of most silver coins from one hole. Thanks for reading this and HH!
