My initial thoughts on the MX Sport

Sound quality
Well built
User friendly interface
Well balanced ( not to heavy but not lite either)
Tracks to ferrite right away
Coil design
Good value
Dislike ;
Coil connector size and interior prongs. ( Please be sure to wear your glasses and easy does it)
Pig tail headphone connector. (Ask the CZ6 owners about that one)
When time allows I will put it through the paces. Hot ground, good ground, salt water beach
I bought mine no freebie for me

George my biggest dislike there is no pigtail so we can use our other Whites MX coils! Guess they have to make money selling us extra coils.

Send back your detector to White's for the upgrade, the upgrade speeds up the recovery and apparently shortens the lenght of tones with all modes with the exception of All Metal and Prospecting mode which already have these features in place.

White's is taking care of the issues, but for the time being try Prospecting mode VCO OFF position SAT 5-6. This will give you an idea what the MX Sport can do, super quick recovery and tones are short and snappy.

We're all in this together and it's great White's is offering the upgrade, just give them a call they'll email you a postal slip they pay postage or they will mail you one.

I mailed mine off this morning, with no home computer or printer sent mine in on my dime, To hopefully get it back before my next days off.

Did order the elliptical, it'll be here this coming week and will be my main inland coil. For water the stock center mount is perfect, the extra weight will be a must for wading in water.

Having used pigtails on a couple of Classic detectors they are prone to problems. Time will tell but I do understand the reason behind why. Keep digging my friend.
