I did a GB and Threshold mod on the IDX and also moved the coil connector to the back of the ID meter....

Excellent work Doug,

Looks factory too, I like the added teknetics decal for the Ground balance & tuner very impressive work.

Good job,
Paul (Ca)

Thanks Everyone!

Doug,

I agree with Paul! That looks professional! I'll send my 4900/SP3 for you to fix and add the straight rod mod. Using those spare Tek faceplate decals was excellent! Are you the new Mr. Bill? Just kidding.
Captions please!

Thanks Paul!
I sent your package today!...I think I will end up selling the IDX Pro...I like everything about it except one Thing!
SAT MODE IN ALL METAL .....anyone knows if you want the best depth with no discrimination use the Non Motion
G,B, All Metal Mode....Unfortunately the IDX has a SAT and that Makes it a deal breaker for me....Hard to hear the the Faint
Very Deep targets when the detector is trying to tune it out.....So shortly the IDX will see a new Home somewhere in the Good old USA!!!
I was hoping that the IDX would be the slow motion alternative to my XL Pro It would have been nice as I have all the Whites coils that
would work on both making it less expensive.......Who knows maybe I will change my mind...Maybe I'm giving up to soon!!!

Only thing missing is the boost circuit, and I do not think your gonna copy that too easy...
Great Job on the GB and Threshold mods...I did those on my Classic II, but did not look 1/4 as good as yours.

HH,

Hey Doug,
Really nice work.
I have an IDX pro and was looking to mod it myself.
How did you know which pot was for the threshold?
The GB pot is obvious but I could not figure out which one was for the Threshold.
Can you tell me?
Thanks
