Here's a few pictures of my buddies first Gold ring. He's only been detecting for about a month full time and I've been telling him, if you want to find gold, you have to dig the trash. I had an opportunity to hunt a lot that's right across the street from my parents house which My dad had obtained permission for me to hunt from the new owner--What a dad!! It originally had a old house, which was burned down for firefighters practice, another house, which was the Pastors parsonage and a brick Church. These are going to be demolished and replaced by 11 new homes, so we have a very small window of time to hunt them. The area where the burned down house was located had been graded and had loads of gravel dumped and spread out to make additional parking for the church. Hunting was really tough, due to high grass, the gravel, and constantly having to move due to the demolishing crews and workers cutting down trees and removing the fence surrounding the property. We both hunted hard for a solid 8 hours. I knew Mr. Jim had found something good, when I saw his face, A really huge smile and he was coming my way super fast!! I'm really happy for him, and I told him, once you find the first ring it gets a lot easier. He told me that he almost passed it up, but remembered what I had told him about the low tones and trash, so He dug it. The ring is a nice 10Kt nugget style, with a 7 Diamond Cluster. We both dug enough pulltabs, bottlecaps and pcs. of aluminium combined to almost fill a 5 Gal. bucket up well past the half way point. I'll post more pictures of the lot finds in a few days. Dig the Trash, Find the Treasures!! Happy Hunting to all, and thanks again for all the excellent tips and comments on this Forum.[attachment 26410 MVC-085S.JPG][attachment 26411 MVC-086S.JPG][attachment 26412 MVC-087S.JPG]
