I got out for a very short hunt today and decided to try a demolition site that has yielded some .52 caliber sharps bullets before.
I got the IH cent after searching for about 15 minutes and by the ID, I thought it might be another bullet.
It was pretty crusted up when I found it and I didn't know whether it was a wheat penny, IH cent, or some other kind of coin.
After some soaking in peroxide for a short time, the detail started to come out and I was able to get the date: 1906
I also found the copper rivot nearby.
This site is very trashy with building debris, but may have the potenial for some nice finds based on what has come out so far.
Thanks for looking,
Felix
