I flew back from Ontario last nite. The weather was great and it was sure nice to see my relatives. I managed to squeeze in 4 hunts during my several days visiting. The totals so far
work out to just under $20.00. One hunt was at a place called "Grand Bend," a favorite swimming hole on the eastern shore of Lake Huron. I looked for relics in an old forested area in Kitchener dating back to the middle 1800's and the retirement place where my mom lives.

My favorite find relic hunting find was an old rusted out hunting arrow, found buried in about 4 inches in the woods. On Lake Huron, I did find an old button, with the back all rusted out, so it's really hard to ID, even though there has been a lot of ship activity for the past 300 years.

My jewelry finds. It's always nice to find some costume jewelry while hunting. My daughter thinks these finds are cool, and when she hunts with me, those are the kind of finds she hopes to get.

Here's my soon to be 11 year old daughter. She just loves going to the beach with her dad. This place is Grand Bend, where I found just over $14.00 on land and in the water. Hope to get a few water hunts in this week.........

It looks like you had a good time John.
I just put a couple of Canadian coins under the coil. I sure do take my hat off to you because they must be tough to figure out. I can understand why you like penny popping as they are a lot easier to detect.
Mick Evans.

Vacation hunts are always fun. Trying to find good spots in new places. Looks like you did great.
