The At Pro finds my target,I start the digging then I'm digging deeper and wider than what its intended to.I have a pro pointer from garret so i find it easy but how do i know exactly where the target is by looking at the coil? Thank you.

It will be in the general area of the square(ish) cut out in the coil that is immediately in front of the mounting of the tube that connect to the coil.

Here's a link to a video explaining how to pin point with the coil.

You bet !
I've watched a ton of videos since I got my AT Pro 2 weeks ago in hopes of shortening the learning curve.

I did read the book about pinpointing but because of old age, forgot most of what I read. One thing I did remember was the picture of the shape of the area under the coil that is detected. Like all of us, I first get a hit while swinging east and west. I narrow my swing to a few inches and effectively pinpoint the east/west location of the target. Then.I move my coil slowly north and south. I pay close attention to where I first hear the tone and to where it dies off. Unless it's a buried can or something bigger, the target is just inside the outer coil ring where you first hear the tone going north and south. I very seldom dig a hole bigger than 3-4 inch diameter.

best way to pinpoint with a dd coil is to use pinpoint button an get a strong siginal then drag the coil back until the siginal begains to null, at the end of the coil, an theres your target.
