My high end David Clark aviation head phones work like a charm on my new CTX

That should make a sweet combination:clapping:

I modified two Air Force headsets. An H-133C/AIC (1950/60s era) and an H10-76 (which are currently used in combat). Because I like the sounds, each headset has speakers and pots used in Killer B headphones. For the H-133 I added a jack for a removable coil cable I made up. For the H10-76 I made a pigtail adapter for the military plug. The gel pads and sweat covers make them super comfy. David Clarks are by far the best headphones out there. These things should last longer than me.
