My hat's off to you film makers! :please:

I hunted today for 2 hours at an old Victorian house. The ground was frozen most of the place but I tried to hunt in the sun. I brought along a video camera to make an informative video. Not one of those videos that never lets you hear exactly why they dig a target. Well trying to hold the camera while sweeping is OK. But to hold the camera and dig a target - well that's hard! Not to mention trying to put the headphones over the mic so you can hear the audio. That was almost impossible! I wasn't going to keep pulling the headphone plug either. All that camera crap was eating into my hunting time! Next time I'll just keep the phones in the truck and bring a tripod. I think you need a film crew just to properly film one dig! I did find 2 wheaties, one V-nickel and the usual clad. I haven't cleaned them up yet.

I second that. I commend anyone who takes the time and effort to document some of their hunts for all to see. It is appreciated.

I think you have the right idea. Leave the headphones off and bring a small tripod to put the camera on......;o)

I was right in town so the Pro beeping, me talking and a camera on a tripod - could cause a wreck or something! lol

I always felt funny when I filmed some hunts. I would usually try to go when others werent around so I wouldnt feel stupid. I got an idea. We can go out togather and we can take turns filming.......;o)

I just looked at my clips. They weren't too bad. Now I'm going to see if I can run the editing program? This crap is taking a lot of time and I'm sitting at my desk. I may give up on this movie making. We may try it your way a time or two. You got some places located for us? Or you going to line up some crap hole for me!

It does cut I to your hunting time. I may try to get some targets on video before I dig them. I relic hunt this time of year mostly so unless I am 100% sure it is small iron I dig it. To try to film all those in hope you get a good one on film and hold the camera detector and shovel is no fun and waste a lot of valuable hunting time. Every good target you see would mean filming a lot of trash. Don't give up after a few it gets easier. I am stating to enjoy doing them. Mine are not the best but you can at least get a feel for the hunt and see a few relics.

I got a little frustrated and quit filming. I missed the 1905 V nickel and two wheats. But I did get my first couple of targets on film. A Ladies Bulova watch and a Memorial. I should have narrated better. I will try it again.

Depends on what you want to hunt. There are a lot of places fairly close. If you are bringing the AT Pro we may want to stick with tot lots where the shallow stuff is.......:heh:

Just kidding. There are some places with some civil war bullets but they are far and few in between, deep too. I have some places that are just loaded with clad too. Got a few parks that give up some silver from time to time. Just really depends on what you want to hunt for.

I can help you with the movie making if you need some help. It really is simple once you get the hang of it.

I like to hunt waist deep in water. Think you machines can keep dry? LOL. Hey I'm going to post the video in all it's glory. I don't care where we hunt. Just stay away from those coins you planted!

I didn't mention I got tired of filming and dug a Scandinavian coin, 2 wheats and a 1905 V nickel. I'll do better next time.

Good one......lol.

Good video too. Cant wait to get mine to try it out. keep the videos coming. I want to try and get some real deep targets on film and show the TID and sounds.

I like watching metal detecting related videos. Just thinking that maybe someone with some experience could start a thread about making videos, equipment, software, downloading, etc. I think that would be interesting.

Good idea. Maybe you can suggest to a moderator to start a new forum about making videos. A person with a computer and windows movie maker and a way to record will work good enough to get started.

Looks good what is your name on YouTube want to subscribe to your channel so I can catch your videos as you post them.
