A local farmer called me today with a problem - seems he was filling silage into a bin and a gear came off of his equipment and apparently got pushed into the bin of silage with a skid loader - he advised none of the local farm parts stores had the gear he needed and wanted to know if I could find it with my metal detector - the C$ was up to the challenge and on my second sweep through the silage using all metal, we found the gear - the farmer offered to give me a reward, but I declined, but I now have a couple of old farmsteads to hunt. and it opened some doors for maybe some nice detecting sites. I found a big pin for a farmer last week in a field beside my house, fortunately it only took about 30 mins. HH, Mike

IN fact that farmer that I spoke of who lets us hunt while he seeded lost a very large & expensive wrench for his tractor........the C$ found it & that just firmed up our permission for the next season & beyond :D

I found a corner pin for the Mayor of our town a while back. That definitely hasn't hurt me getting permission on city owned property! ;)
