I ordered a stock coil cover for my GTP 1350 & GTI 1500 as I really use these in the warmer weather a lot. I have found that hunting in the woods, along creeks, in creeks and playgrounds really puts a beating on the coil, and a coil cover protects the coil itself.
Now I was quite surprised that the 9.5" new PROformance imaging Coil Cover covered the whole bottom of the coil, not like the old white cover on the older coil which just covered a 2 inch strip around the bottom outer coil. This is good, because if you hunt in grass or in the woods, the coil won't catch as easily, and the coil should slide smoothly, really decreasing the falsing that can happen. But, what was really different about this coil was the series of holes along the bottom of the coil. What a great idea! Now the water can drain out the bottom, or....a nice bath can be givven to the coil in the shallow water to clean it up and get that sand and grit out which can also cause some falsing.
Good to see some new positive changes to the coil cover.
