Yesterday was a beautiful 70-someodd degree day, and I got out yesterday with BeachBumm and The Chase in search of the elusive silver oldies.

We hit a San Francisco East Bay park and had a pretty good hunt, lots of jewelery and a BIG SILVER first for me :beers:

Be gentle, this is my first shot at video editing :drinking:

Thanks everyone, it was a lot of fun making the video (even if I never was able to get MS Movie Maker to work).

Hi Elton - BeachBumm was hot on the silver jewelery with his Etrac, and The Chase was using the Omega.

Brian, great bunch of jewelry. That half dollar is a beaut! Hey afterall there is something to those readings in the 90's (remember that online debate?). I need some of that good weather so I can try out my LTD, keep the finds and the films coming. Curt O

Hey Curt, I wish I could say that Walker half was 10" deep or something crazy like that, but it was only down about 5". It was an iffy signal, never hit the 90's in ground, but it sounded so good....just sang out high tones no matter how I hit. After I pulled it out, I scanned the hole again and then I got a solid dime signal. Of course I was hoping for a merc or other silver coin  but an inch or two away from it and less deep, was a clad dime. That explains the odd bouncy TID, but it really locked onto the silver half (it should, it's a big target).

That was a fun hunt, that park will be getting a LOT of attention while it's easy diggin's for a while, I'm sure there's other spots there hiding silver

Duh, well I figured out I had the "90"s in my mind from the post I read just before yours, on "Lunch Time Surprise", that seeker got a silver morgan dollar, shallow, that was hitting crazy in the "90".s Good digs, Curt O

It should hit in the 90's, but the clad dime next to it was interferring with the TID.

I'll see if I can find another one today that's not next to "junk" perhaps it'll TID correctly

Have you had a chance to test out your LTD yet? I bet your dying to take her out to some of your good spots....I wish I was closer, there's lots of good hunting around your area.

Could you make the next two a seated and barber half

Of course I am chomping at the bit to get out with it. There are some spots, not deep woods, that Ive groomed heavily with the "70". Im going to start there- till my cellar holes thaw out. One area is where the horse drawn trolleys turned around near the zoo. It is all sod now and I have permission to be there. Ill let you know how I make out. Like that silver and gold your puttin up there for us to see.

Great video....and nice finds...one day I will make it up to GGP...went once and the parking was crazy...so didn"t detect....:sadwalk:...going to go again ...getting tough down here in Sacramento! Looks like rain ! You guys save some of that silver for me!.....TAKE IT EASY!!!!!!!!!
