I know its just a wheat penny (193:geek:but its my first with my new to me explorer. And it came from my house that I went over with my fisher 100 times.I also found 3 quarters and 2 dimes and 2 other pennies. Now that really tells me this machine is great. Now earlier yesterday I went to a park that was in use since the late 1700s and didnt find anything but 3 old and deep rusty nails but the signal was a little iffy but I dug anyway.I couldnt get any other signals,I dont think I crossed over anything "good" as I spent 2 hours on an area about 40 by 60 feet. And there was alot of trash there also.I should have put the 6in coil on.I did as suggested,by the book from andy and it should be here any day now so im hoping that will assist me in the learning curve of the differant sounds. But I think im getting the hang of it.

Congratulations on the first of many!

I'm an Explorer newb too, and ordered a 5" Excelerator as soon as I bought the machine. I bought them to be my trash park silver slaying combo specifficly, as I have an Xterra 705 with a big DD coil that does open ground well.
The new 5" should be here in about 3hrs and I'm excited! (<-simple pleasures for simple minds)
