my first week with the v3i

Well i just received my new used to me v3i detector last friday. Had some problems right off The display would turn on and off before shutting down all together .after a couple of hours i tried it again and it worked great.i guess maybe the moisture and cool weather affected it when it was being shipped to me .So i guess keeping it inside dried it out.
First time out at a local park which i hunted to death with my minelab xs i found almost 2 dollars in change
So far in a week after 4 local parks and around 10 hours of hunting i'm now over 7 dollars
i have been only hunting in the hi pro setting and really like the polar plot setting.this detector really likes quarters.i know some of you don't really care for the polar plot .Maybe you can share your pros and cons about the setting
and please share your setting that you find works better for you
One thing i did notice is it has a delay in the polar plot setting when you go from target to target when the battery gets lower has anyone had this problem? or maybe this happens in the other settings as well just haven't used it enough to be 100% sure whats really happening
thanks for your help

Not sure what you mean. Unless the battery falls below approx. 8v it has no effect.
Delay in the polar plot setting?
Going from target to target?

Well it seams to keep the same polar plot even when i have 2 targets i hear untill I pull the pinpoint switch back and reset it to hunt mode again .I know it has a different sound for 2targets but the display will keep it like their is only one .i will test further this week

I have noticed that the polar plot takes a few seconds to show the display after sweeping a target... maybe 2 or 3 seconds before it updates the display.

The Polar plot and analysis screen needs to have a period of time of no targets before and after seeing a target. So wait, thousand one, thousand two before sweeping the target and before re-sweeping the target. Pinpoint the target before analyzing. Off center sweeps can cause anomalous patterns.
Settings that are too hot can cause anomalous patterns or no patterns. Having your settings too hot may cause the analysis graph to trigger on ground. If there is enough noise to be triggering it within that required quiet time, then it cannot trigger to display the signal, or it triggers later and shows the wrong data. If your noise source has signals that are as large as your deep targets, you will not be able to see a good reading either.

This does not depend on a lower battery voltage and was designed to work one target at a time.

i tried - what you guys suggested and the delay from one target to target i'm getting use too.i think my problem was trying to swing to fast.
i just needed to slow my swing down .Today i found a penny and iron within inches of one another in my plug i was just able to ek it out .i am still looking for some good programs that will work in the red clay we have down here in SC.

thanks for your help
