My first Spanish Reale in school yard!

Well-known member
Well I’ve been hunting just over three years and I’ve been looking for a Spanish silver
Today I was hunting in my town in the school yard which dates 1934 but houses on Main Street
Date back 1600’s .
Heck Washington stayed just down the road about 1/8 from this school!
So I’m always checking my old buttons for a GW..
Well I was hunting in park two tracking Ground balance on and had a great high tone under a fence line
That borders the school and a old house next door we’ll all the topsoil was moved from the front
Yard to the fence line and it rang up 26-27 I figured a silver dime was I in shock when I saw the pillars!
I knew I had a 1 Reale only a couple inches down the face is pretty slick So can’t pull a date . Boy I’m getting to really like my Equinox my bucket list continues
To grow smaller every month!
HH everyone!

Thanks I know should buy lotto friend just hit $20,000 on a scratch off!

Beautiful find!

Thanks all you just never know where a old coin will surface its why I always go slow heck I pulled a silver quarter and silver rosie yesterday in the small ball field I've hunted
a few times these were right at home plate just when I was thinking I would not find a silver quarter there!

Huge Congrats Mkus !

A Reale (any denomination) and a few others are on my bucket list as well. Great find.

Me to thanks Rich I’ve been looking for one and was going to meet a friend to hunt another spot but glad he could
Not make it J/k Greg but I would not have found this coin well maybe I would have cause I keep finding some good
Finds at my old elementary school!
One suggestion to all hunters always hit the edges of lots a lot of my good finds are found there because a lot of times
I believe the top soil gets scraped and pushed out that’s what happened where this Reale was found just under the fence line
The topsoil actually dropped off sharply right along the fence and it was only a couple inches down.
