My first silver! It is a beauty 1902 found in a church yard. I have pulled about 20 wheats and 30 bucks clad from this place and enormous amount of

Just knew there was silver in this yard. Hope is is one of many before I am done. Just now getting the junk cleaned out so keeping my fingers crossed. It is a pretty good sized area to cover. It is exactly how it came out of the ground. I know for you long time detectors it is no big deal but I have only had my DFX for a month or so with little time to hunt.

Took me 5 years to find one and in that year I found 4 more. My buddy Donnie found his first and then 3 more in 2 weeks. Clean out the junk and then run Dave Z's deep program to get anything that is real deep. I found sweeping real slow in a small area works best. Good luck TeeJay and congratulations man

The church was torn down and rebuilt but the Parsonage is still standing and an old wood frame home left undisturbed. The yard area is about the size of a football field and they've held church events there forever. It has an adjoining cemetery that is going to get the going over as soon as I have depleted the main yard to the parsonage. I'm going to be hitting it hard today. Thanks for the encouragement everyone. This location was one of the first churches in the area and only 1/5th of a mile up the hill from my home. Nothin like be close!

many years ago it was a long way by horse and buggy from many homes. Many families probably spent several hours there. Look for places that they could have sat around and ate or played games. Any original trees, stumps or hills?

Is there a way to get under the parsonage? When I was a kid I used to go exploring under my parents house. No basement but a huge crawlspace to hide things.

I also found two silver religious medals, one dated 1800 and the other 1830, an old bell about 3" across at the bottom, two little rings, one from India, nothing special about them, a really neat button and the normal 3 or 4 bucks of clad. Oh, and a couple more wheat's. No way under the parsonage but I can get under the large front porch, just haven't got to that point yet. Still getting the junk out and have hope more is to be found.
