My First Silver Coin

I have been detecting since I got my first detector on 9/12/2012 which is the AT Pro. Love the machine and it's been doing the job, but hasn't got me any silver coins yet. Well, the time has come. I was swinging around in Spring Bay with a buddy on Sunday and I found my first silver coin. About 4-5 inches down I could see the shine of silver. I pulled it out and brushed it off. I couldn't believe my eyes, it was an 1897 barber quarter and in good condition. It made my week to finally find a silver coin. Hopefully there is more to come in the future.

I would say you are off to a pretty good start. WTG.

Even more special that you broke the 1900 barrier with it too.

Congrats on your first silver!!! Thats a great find and you broke into the 1800's club.

Would have loved to have been there buddy. That is a beautiful barber!!!

Take it easy!
Neil

Beautiful Barber, congratulations :clapping:

She sure is a beauty. I think the Barber quarter is about the prettiest coin. Congratulations on your first silver and many many more to come your way. HH, Nancy

So glad I walked by this coin with my V3I and you were able to pull it out of the trash with the AT PRO I sold you ;) LOL

That's so cool Buck. I feel the same way. I would much rather see one get a "first" than for me to find it. HH, Nancy
