Today I got permission to detect the property that was a church built in the 1870's and is now a home. I spent about 4 hours digging trash after trash. Rusted cans, old fuses, crushed metal pieces etc. Then I got a strong copper penny signal and dug my first silver coin and two wheat pennies from the hole. total finds today one quarter 1991, one dime 1951, four pennies 1910,1941,1950,1979, two match box cars and a hole lot of junk. I dug 40 or more holes today. The dime and 2 pennies was down about 7". Just had to tell someone!

[size=large]are you sure that older looking car is a matchbook? looks to be a possible collectors prize.
Congrats. as soon as you clear the trash away you'll strike more silver.

Both cars are Tootsietoys and not Match box. I will take them to a local toy collector store and see if we can put a value on them.

Looks like a great spot for some more good finds..... whether it's silver or tootsie toys, they're both of value. HH Jack from NH
