Hi all and thanks for the advice Jeff. I'm not that computer savvy. Didn't even know paint existed. haha. Anyway, this is my first ring found next to a pond behind my Church here in Louisville KY. A few sinkers, some change, nothing silver. Pliers and such. I also found what looked like a float ball made of copper but forgot to take pictures of it. The old time removable pull tabs really messed me up! I hadn't hunted a place with them yet. Just another obstacle in my experiences that I am loving more and more. Although my wife thinks this is a stupid hobby, I am really enjoying it. Hopefully I can get that 6" DD and do even better but am happy with the stock coil for now. Thanks for the advice from everyone in this forum and good luck hunting.

Looks like you had a pretty good outing. WTG.

Never seen a ring quite like that. Congratulations.

Sooo... did she teach you to manage your photos? It really isn't that dificult. Does, however take a bit of pratice. If I can do it so can you.

Jeff

P.S.
I would be willing that you never throw another pull tab away, or even drop one for that matter.

Hahaha. No Jeff, when you brought it up, I just sat here and played with the computer until I found paint and spent another hour sizing things. I would have never got these pics up without you bringing it up. 50x 50 was still a little big so it took a little more to make it happen. I will be able to do it from now on. It just made me feel good to be able to show off my first ring. Bye the way, she hates computers. She probably checks her email maybe once a month. She's too much a horse girl and outdoors girl so computers isn't her thing, nor mine. She's fishing and horses and I'm MDing and hunting and fishing. I guess we make a good pair. Wish I could get her into MDing. Maybe some day. I just found my first 2 wheaties today. It was kind of funny. All the new coins were a couple of inches deep and both the wheaties were laying right on top. Go figure? I'm just glad to be able to show stuff now. Thanks all and good luck hunting
Joel

Nice finds....your wife may not think it is so stupid when you bring her home a gold ring with a nice gemstone in it...sad part is, that to do that you have to keep digging those pulltabs. HH
