I am brand new at detecting...Literally.
My son and I went to the beach Saturday morning and found this. Probably costume but exciting none the less.
I think I'm hooked for life.

Nice first find, check the clasp at both ends closely that is more than likely where it will be marked if gold. I wish you the best of luck in the future., and welcome to this forum. What detector are you using at this time? HH

I am using a BH 202 I bought five years ago to find the sprinkler heads in my yard.
I thought it paid off then...LOL

Yep!

The pretty finds are lots of fun...

Even if not worth a kings ransom.

Persistence gets the gold!

I have a box full of semi treasures and I can tell you where and when each was found.
On another note ..It still blows me away to walk away from a park with 5 or 6 bucks in change that was just sitting there.

North of Tampa , about 20 miles from the west coast. I hunt all over the state when possible. Sometimes east coast sometimes west coast. Soon it will be time to start back at it seriously. HH

Stinky,

Welcome to the forum. And congratulations on your first find. Great way to start out.:clapping:

Sure is pretty. Did you check it for Karat marks? Use an eyepiece and go over it thoroughly to see. Nice find!

Thanks to all the warm and inviting people on this forum. I'm sure that I'll have a lot of questions
