First of all, I've been out of metal detecting since about 1984. I hit it hard from 1981 to 1984 with my White's 6000D detector. I lived near Chicago so I found tons of silver coins in around the area parks, old schools, etc. When my kids started growing up I quit. Now, my nephew got me interested once again and I'm back in the game .. and loving it!

Went out today, for a few hours before the rains came, and got a couple permissions in a neighboring town. The two Merc's were in a spill with a Wheat penny and the Rosie and the gold ring were found in another yard. The ring appears to be gold plating over sterling silver. I keep finding Alabama Sales Tax tokens too.

Can't wait to see what everyone is finding these days!
