My first non tesoro in 4+ years...a Coinstrike

I've always wanted to try one...

I know I'll dislike it's weight and balance, but from what other's have stated Im hoping it will perform as well as the Vaquero in Iron. I still have a belt mount from my CZs, but I'm not sure it's the same

I'm also looking for more ability to cherry pick in groomed parks.

I may be overly optimistic, because I do love a beep n dig.

I think my last great TID was the explorer II...

I'm going to search the same areas I've pounded with Tesoros... I'm not expecting to find much, but I always find some thing there. I also plan on hunting some newer areas that I've had exceptional luck in.

My first detector was an XLT "E" Series, I went into the hobby with the blinders on like so many do..... Thinking that you're gonna find it all.... I quickly found myself frustrated and wondering why I'd spent so much money on the XLT to start off with. Still pumped up about the hobby I opted to sell the XLT and got most of my money back, and took my time researching the various brands, and after reading hundreds of posts with loyal users to their particular brands I decided to do the opposite from what I did in the beginning. I Bought the much cheaper yet just as capable Compadre. I was thrilled with it's lightweight and the finds I made with it kept me pumped for more. Since then I've owned a Large array of Tesoro's detector lineup, some brand new some older well cared for units and I can say I've never had to send not one back for repairs or adjustments. Guess I've been hooked on Tesoro ever since. But recently I've had the fever to try one of the Teknetic "Omega" Units. Now after developing several years of experience detecting, I believe the change won't have me selling off all my Tesoros but it'll make a nice addition to my collection.

I bought a Silver in Jan and I did alot of reading before I bought it. I have added 2 more MD's to the collection and find something new everytime I get another MD and go over old ground. Traded Silver last week for a Tejon because I need the manuel grd option in this area and I can handle more adjustments now with more experence. Going to use landstar for tot lots untill I can locate a Compadre.

I keep the compadre with me where ever I go.
I'm crazy about my Compadre. Man am I ever hung up on this machine. The only machine that would duplicate how this compadre will not pick up a nail, but will find a gold ring next to one was a Garrett BFO-and you know how they're affected by mineralization. I'm about to add a "tab check" to mine and call it my Compadrejon.:tesoro:

Compadrejon, that's funny...

I haven't heard of that mod...

I took mine out yesterday for 15mins just to hunt some recently cleared areas in my backyard gardens.... No finds, but good practice
