My First Musket Ball !:surprised:

Ya just never know whats down there!
I've wouldn't have believed it a week ago but I just found My first Round Musket ball while coin shooting a new park
yesterday. The funny thing is lately I was getting very frustrated with my Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter Ultra Mag
it's my 1st MD and I really do like it, but lately it has been getting on my nerves. Falsing on targets and disappearing signals etc...
So this past Friday I took the plunge and ordered a new AT Pro Spring Special from Big Boy Hobbies.:clapping:
And now a few days before it arrives, I stop by a new spot that I always wanted to hunt, and I bring out my Sharp Shooter,
I thought "so what, I'll still have fun with it" until my ATP gets delivered.
I was about a hundred yards into the spot and by then I dug about 5 pull tabs and 4 bottle caps & 1 1980 Quarter
when i got a double signal so I dug a 7' hole and found yet another pull tab (not surprised) then I ran the the coil over the hole
just to be sure "like I usually do" and that was good that I did it because I found my first Musket Ball and it has a Flat on
one side so I'm sure it hit something.
Anyway I thought it was really cool and I wanted to share this one with the Group
Ive got some renewed faith in this detector. call it luck or coincidence but I'm still happy with the find
HH HMD:bouncy:

Big congrats on the save.I remember the thrill of the first musket ball. I remember the time and place.

Thanks guys,
is there anybody out there who could tell
A way of finding out what type of musket it
came from?
I don't see any gouge lines in it so I would
Guess it didn't come out of a rifled barrel
thanks HH
HMD.
