haven't posted in a while, just have not found anything much to post. was able to go out for awhile today and finally found my first merc. was searching in an old park and was hunting around the trunk of an old tree and found this 1919 no mint mark dime. i did the happy dance. i hope i did it right as i have never seen it demonstrated. the ring is a .925 silver i found about two weeks ago. i was in a tot lot and had not found much but a couple of pennies, when this popped out of the ground. my wife has had it on ever since. barely got it off her to take a picture of it. well as always, thanks for looking and happy hunting. be careful out there.

Great finds :clapping: those mercs sure are pretty.

Congrats

Totally awesome dude!:super:Congrats on the silver!:cheers:Quite nice!:please:Happy Hunting!:)

brulon, nice finds! that ring sure is pretty. that merc is an old one, bet there are more where that one came from. good luck...........roger

I like both of those finds a lot! If people were staring at you, pointing, with their hands over their mouths you were doing it right.

That rings stone is stunning Should of had a warning before you see it! Nearly blinded me! WTG

WTG Bru on your finds. Congrats on your 1st merc. Haven't got my first yet. Hopefully soon. Congrats again!!

thanks everybody for looking. katz, i think the stone is probably a garnet. that is what my wife said. chris, i must have done the dance right, as everybody was laughing and pointing. roscoe, sorry about the blinding thing, will put a warning next time. roger, i will go back and see what else may be around. i forgot to mention that the merc was only about two inches deep.
