Was beginning to think these coins were never going to be found by me, but then TWO 1892 in waist deep water about 3' apart?
I also got these two big tokens, one is "The Grand Army of the Republic" 59th encampment 1925. and the other is $1 in trade for $10 or more in purchase from Menter 313 monroe ave...also from the 20's I think, then this little childs fare for Grand Haven transit token, and this #1 brass spinner made by W.T.J. Lowe Buffalo NY..also a 27 wheat...I was up early and worked the sledding hills for clad with the 'Pros brother, then in the drink for these with the Pro. Got alot of brass, especially that big ring and some boat fittings. You all can tell I found some very old mud! If it dont freeze, I'll hunt all winter in there! By gosh it was cold though, had to stop every so often and warm up my hands. Sorry about the crappy pics. Running pro mode 30 disc. at about half sens, lots of pulltabs and screwoffs and the usual.

Goodness gracious, I'd tip my hat to you but my head would get cold just thinking about where you had been. Now that is some persistent hunting. Great job on all the finds, bit in particular, the 2 IH's. And as much turf stabbin that you do, you had to be in or near the water to find them. Happy New Year to ya. HH jim tn

Yeah Jim, thats what I thought too, just a matter of time, these were both in the water around some very old pilings, lots of shotgun shell ends as well...I'll get in there and really clean it out, who knows? stuff this old, there may be a gold coin sitting down in there? We are in the "lake effect" temp zone, which if it holds will just keep on a snowing...most water is froze, but I managed to find this open area.

That's outstanding. It's shure that's a virgin spot. If it gets too cold that spot will still be there in the spring, be safe and have more good luck

Nice job in harsh conditions. Looks like a very good spot there mud, hope you can rip up some more of the good stuff! Best of luck.
Cheers!

Congratulations on the firsts, Mud! You certainly earned them, I don't think I'd venture into water that cold!! I guess that's why I haven't dug any IH's yet

Nice mud. sounds like you got one great spot. Be careful in there buddy, there are sure to be a few things in there that are ready to slice and dice you. I've only found one IH so far 1907 so your first and second shot my date down. buit I've decided that I'm gonna find that gold coin first. Its on.
