I did not have time to get out to the mansion so went to the old school instead. The field I wanted to hunt had a soccer practice going on so I went to a very trashy area that I have always had a hard time finding anything. First off I will say that I find the machine to be way more powerful than anything I have used. I need a bigger/better digger as I had to give up on some faint signals. I am not used to digging as deep as thing thing detects. Mind you I have never bought a detector of this type so keep that in mind. I love the way this detector talks. After 1 hour I could call out a penny every time as I dug alot of them!!! Quarters were easy aswell. The bugger is the foil and aluminum.
A few things I noticed with this machine. NAILS are easy to identify if they are straight. They are good one direction and fade to a crap signal when ya turn 90 degrees. Bent nails also are easily identifiable with a switch of frequency. They bounce around like a bottle cap and vid goes crazy. I did dig alot of junk but that is to be expected so I can learn what the detector is telling me. I am still learning and am not trying to give an expert opinion just my own. I really like this machine. It is not that hard to learn what it's telling you. You can pick it up pretty easily for some things. I have no clue what the faint deep signals are because I could not dig them. I am used to 4-6" this has me digging down 8-9" and I give up with my digging tool. I did dig one out at 12" and it was a big copper ring of some sort.
I am excited about this machine and I like the way it talks. I need alot more time with it but so far it seems like one heck of a detector. I can't wait to get out and learn more. BTW todays 2 hour hunt results were all clad
3 - quarters
22 - pennies
3 - dimes
1 - Nickel
30 pieces of trash!!
One question I have is the headphones and coil seems the battery falls very fast but stays at 1/4 charge forever. I was only out 2 hours. Is this a glitch in the programming?
