My first hunt in a month didn't turn out so well for the CoinStrike

I needed to go into work for about 4 hours Sunday and do some admin work, but I just couldn

and never had mine shut off on me like that. I have also left mine in the truck (not recommended) of my car for a few hours in the heat at the beach & still no problem like that. I have wondered about severe cold weather affecting the display though, but not heat. Might be you need a different setup for your area.

HH,

The man at Fisher that answered my email said 'quote': "It sounds more like an intermittent connection or component that is heat sensitive." 'unquote' :sadwalk:

Its covered under the warranty, so next week its off to Fisher it goes. Better not to have problems, but I guess if you are, better early than late

Thats why when I chose a keeper machine I either buy new or a in-store demo unit. Got to have that warranty on the keepers and its worth the extra money.

I just committed to buying another toysoro (Golden Sabre II) which cleans me out, so I got to cash some clad just to send it in.

Problems are caused by shipping, handling, i recieved a 1212 by Ups that rattled and made awful noises, but worked, the box was in fair cond, opened the detector, it had been dropped so hard the battery was knocked out of the holder, but the wires still connected, got a C$, box in good cond, but had been banged around so much it was scarred on side and clips holding LCD in were broken, it still worked tho, never had a problem, some o these handlers need lessons i think, got a toyosoro once that the box was destroyed, but the detector worked, and was ok, ya just never can tell what they do to em :):usmc::fisher::fisher::fisher::usaflag:
But anything i needed from Fisher i got good service on, like CZ 5 knobs and such .

I never had a problem with either one and thats saying something because most shipping companies won't ship the models because of them being to fragile. I have a shipper that also packs my models, but I have to deliver the models to them and its a 100 mile drive each way. No one around my neck of the woods will touch the models packing, or shipping.

Its not that bad, since using the company that I use now, I have shipped better then 12 models without any damage so far knock on wood!
