My first hunt ever!!!

I read that playgrounds are a good place to start treasure hunting and so I went out to a local elementary school with my Ace 150 and found the the following.....
My best finds were the new gold american dollar and a small (fake) gold ring.

Took me two months to find my first dollar coin. Too bad the ring is a junker, but a ring on your first hunt is also extraordinarily lucky! I see a bright future for you!

Chris

Hey congrats to you!! A ring is a ring, and after 3 months of hunting, I still do not have a dollar coin, Beale.

Congrats on your first hunt. Nice to find a ring. those dollar coins don't come up often either. HH

WTG 21brangus, Great for a first hunt and nutten wrong with the ring either, as stated a ring is a ring. Congrat's on your first finds.:clapping:

I'd say you did swell for first hunt - sometimes it can take several hunts to get a ring (not talking pull-tab ring) or a dollar.
WTG

Way to go. I would like to find a dollar coin or two. Looks like you are "ringing" into a great hobby.... Ron

Playgrounds are great places to hunt as you discovered. great finds too. :) keep your photos coming and if you have any questions, please ask. We were all in your shoes at one time too.

The things you found on your first hunt are treasures for sure. My saying that a ring is a ring may not be gold or silver but they will come for sure. It's the fun of finding anything with the detector. Keep hunting and congrats on your first bark hunt. :detecting:
My saying that a ring is a ring may not be gold or silver but they will come for sure.
From Rosco Book Binderpedia.com, the free encyclopedia
Ring is a Germanic word with various cognates (e.g. identical in Dutch and German) for a circular form, object or concept. It may specifically refer to:
Jewelry
Though size and colour may vary by purpose and artistic design, the basic shape is always circular. They can have symbolical meanings and uses, e.g. as insignia.

I believe that's what I've been saying all the time. Thanks bro for the quote from my knowledge souce. :nerd::thumbup:
