My first gold!!!!

Myself and a friend of mine have been hunting a highly populated beach in SC on Hilton Head Island. We have hunted it several times now and were beginning to be discouraged about the performance of the CTX on the beach. Finally last night we went out one more time for a few hours after work and luckily I hit my first gold target. Its nothing fancy like a ring or jewelry but gold none the less. I found a gold tooth!

Your beach hunting probably has more to do with beach conditions than the performance of the CTX. The east coast is sanded in. Storms needed. Bleak is the reports up and down the coast.

If the tooth is a modern gold tooth than it is likely 14k. So the setting you used would work fine for recovery of gold jewelry, nice find!!!

The CTX is a great machine, but it can't find things unless they are there. I think faith in your tool and knowing how to use it is the best weapon a hunter can have. That is why I chose the CTX, it never lies to me.
