My First Gold Ring

alton

New member
In my last two hunts I have found 5 rings and a 14K Communion Medal. I had found gold before in the Medals, but I was still seeking my first Gold ring until today. It is 14K to boot, and the stone is in tact. So I'm happy with the way things are going even if I can't get to the ocean very often.

BTW, these were all found in local lakes to my home in East Tennessee. Here is the loot:

Neat ring that the inner circle rotates.

Thanks for looking!
Also thanks to everyone here that has helped me get a good start at water detecting.

There is plenty of loot in the lakes, If the beaches are busy you will get all kinds of loot in fresh water also. Good luck and keep posting all your finds. Thanks for sharing.

Congradulations. I remember my first pieces of gold and it was a life changing experience, Better detectors, better tool research and metal detecting even on my lunch breaks.
I did amass quit a bit in a few years. I`ve gotten older and my back doesnt allways cooperate with good conditions at the beach.
But still they pop up nearly every time i go.
Keep hunting and researching.

Your in a bind aren't cha? All you can think about is getting out there and finding another gold piece! Ain't it great? Your off to a smoking start, just keep it low and slow. Read cjc's Excal book (if you have read it, read it again), if you have not read it and keep us posted on the loot. OBTW, the stainless gig there, we call a spinner ring. The outer spins around the inner, kinda cool. I have found 'em in silver, but never have found a stainless band. Great stuff man! GH

Congratulations, thanks for sharing.

Nice finds. The steel ring is a spinner. Becoming a pretty popular item. More and more in the jewelry stores these days
