My first gold ring.

Beginners luck maybe, but 40 minutes into my first time in the water and I find this. Not big and heavy (weighs 1.1 dwt), but exciting to find. My son is like Gollum with this ring! The other hour or so was rather annoying dealing with the surge. I was chest deep and I kept floating away. Eager to get back in.

You worked for it , thats for sure, very good start , it took me 4 years of hunting to find a gold ring , But then i live up in Minnesota we have mostly poor people hear who can only aford gold plate, and sawed off copper pipe some use black pipe but they do not stay married long LOL keep us updated on your expeditions

Theres nothing like it. Keep it up...where theres 1, theres another. HH -Joe

Nice find! I am still waiting for a REAL gold ring. I have found many gold-plated and a handful of silver rings over the years but never the real deal....not yet anyways lol. Welcome to findmall and hope to see more of your posts.- Jim aka dimeman and aka EPL

Congradulations on your first Gold. Hope you find many more. By the way that sharks tooth is a nice find as well. Rick IL

Thanks guys. Eager to get out again.

@ Furious T -- Yup, he has gold fever. He uses a Bounty Hunter 505, but prefers to use my old White's detector.
Thanks Bart. I'll have to take a look at your site.

Happy Hunting.....
