I have been going just a day over a week and then this i scratched around after i dug the hole and put the detector on the sand i dug out and it kept telling me there's something there so i kept scratching around i cant see anything put the Gold Bug back on the sand told me there was something there so i kept scratching around and finally this popped out and so did my eyes :surprised: its only small and is an ear ring, has 2 little diamonds and is that a ruby as well?
found a silver charm with all little light blue stones in as as well and $11.35.

just posting this up because its a big day for me and i am excited and to show how well the Gold Bug DP works! :detecting:

i can see now this would and does find small Gold am impressed :fisher:

oh yes and a big thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge to make detecting easier and more fun and godigit1 for reminding me to keep digging the foil targets :detecting:

Thats a sweet find ! And the clad is not bad either, paid for some fuel, again, sweet.

Just goes to show what the Gold Bug Pro can really do, you just got to dig to be sure.

Well done.

Hi BH_Landstar

i was going to ask how many bottle tops and foil i have to dig before i get gold guess i know now :wiggle:

i guess i am a bit out of character swinging a Gold Bug in Australia but i like it have a minelab 305 it doesn't get used much and i know a guy has a sovereign who swings the beaches around here and i am still finding coins and now gold so maybe the Fisher is better than we know?

Only time will tell, but from what I have seen using mine here a few times (can't get out much at the moment, snow on the ground) I've been surprised with the finds I have made since January of this year.

wont be long now will start warming up?

i only been doing this short while but has always been something i wanted to do i would be detecting in the house or something if i couldn't get out?

hope you can get out soon!

Way to go Amberjack thats a sweet earing. Did not take you long to hit that first piece of gold. Looks like that beach has great potential and the GB will get all that smaller gold for you that others miss, big stuff too!!
Keep it up and dont be discouraged by the trash. Ive been working a high school and its hard to keep motivated because of the foil but every time I go I find jewelry. Mostly junk but just got another small piece of gold yesterday.
HH and be well
Godigit

thanks Godigit & John(Tx) :clapping:

Godigit i was digging up the junk thinking i will ask you how much junk before i get something good and this popped up, 95% of the time i bend down and pick up the bottle caps and pieces of foil so i don't get them again and to do my bit to make the hobby respected i am sure people watch? anyway went down to get another bit of foil and picked it up and it was a silver charm they have a name i cant remember now what they call them, i felt it and thought this isn't foil blew the sand off and it was this silver charm with nice light blue stones in it, so that was a prize too! so pretty much set at 40 DISC and dig everything that doesn't grunt like a pig :detecting:

well done on the gold !! got to keep motivated because its the motivation that finds the good stuff? i am funny giving advice, well its not advice just a fellow detectorist helping keep the motivation up :detecting:

sun is just coming up might go for a few hrs :clapping: i love this hobby i just go and have fun just love it .

good luck on the next trip.

HH
Amberjack.
