How about this for my first Garrett find
Remember when you saved and got your first decent upgrade? Couldn't wait, and your old mouth was a waterin to get your hands on the new machine! Well, this is the way old Lar has been for the last couple of months. I was gettin close, but still no cigar.
I ordered my new 1500 last week and calculated the approximate arrival, cuz with the weekend and Thanksgiving and all, who knows exact anyway. About Wednesday of this week I though maybe I'd see a package. I came home from work and look all over and no D-tect, Shucks I gotta wait two more days and its even harder when you have to work one of the waiting days. ( no sense discussing with the wife cuz she knows I ordered it and would tell me ASAP) Nice Thanksgiving with relatives and all, but this detect thing is still on my mind. Friday I go to work and think today has got to be the day. Work is a drag , but it finally ended and I went home thinkin ,yup, today it'll be there. Come home, look around no wife (shoppin or somethin) and what no package!! SHI_!!! Wellllll, Im just gonna run an old tracking check to see what the sam hill is wrong. Make a guy wait for a 1500, how low can it get!
I did a shipment check and it said it was delivered on Wed at 12:19 (on porch) but no address was listed. No activity shown for Friday. Something is mighty fishy here, mighty fishy. About two or three weeks ago the little lady of the house ordered <span style="background-color:#ffff00;">two</span> window coverings and guess what?
Two boxes showed up at 12:19 on Wed. which she asked our son to bring in. She saw her name on her package, and assumed they were both hers. With Turkey day and all,she just told Randy to place them in one of the storage bedrooms. That was my 1500 DEAR!!!! <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry">
Talk about a coincidence, we might get 2 or 3 packages a year and her's hits the same day as my 1500 that I have been waiting for about a year. Go figure. My first Garrett find is actually my Garrett 1500. Charles are you listening, the 1500 needs a find me feature like on a cordless phone.
Now I can't wait to try it out.
