My first fresh water hunt with my AT PRO

The 10k band was my first find and was found within five minutes. VDI 63 with a solid tone, the small 10k small ring VDI 43 with a solid tone and the sterling ring VDI in the high silver range. 13 quarters, 13 dimes, 12 nickles, 32 pennies, 3 keys, fishing weights, and pull tabs. 4-5 hour hunt. I've hunted this swimming area before with other detectors and have never been this successful.

Congrats your doing well:thumbup:

Hope the VDI sheet I shared with you helped narrow your decision to dig - told you the majority of my gold finds were in the 42-62/63 range. Lots of good targets there. If you get the weights, pass them to me via PM and I'll add your rings to the list. Good job!

I thought about you and your sheet after I found the small ring and the VDI was 43. Then I remembered the large ring was a 63. Thanks again for posting it.

Excellent:yikes: I wish I could say I had done as well. You found a good site. Good luck on future hunts.

Great ring finds...MAN!!! I am itching to hit the water before Winter hits...

Do you think it might be hot on rings? Competition is getting brisk. :(
I am not sure but it really give a good tone on silver and gold as well as coins. (The screw caps will give a double beep.) But, I am sure that I have never found any rings before with the other detectors that I owned. Or maybe it was because I was not over any I don't know. It may have something to do with the 15 kHz frequency on the AT PRO. PRO MODE coins- iron disc 35.

Nice. How deep of water were you working?

I can walk out to the piers and it will only be waste deep. Check out my second hunt (next post) and you will understand what I am talking about.
