My First Finds with New Excalibur 1000...:clapping:

Wisconsin Pete

Been Home sick the past couple of day's with flu / lung infection...and today was the first day I felt well enough to at least try to get outside...Got tired of my New Excal staring at me and sending messages to my head..."lets go out and swing, take me out and swing me"...well I conjured up enough strength to go out in the back yard to see what I could find...but first I had to throw some coins and a couple gold rings of my wife's (she was asleep and didn't hear me in the bedroom) and a sterling silver ring I found 2 years ago. Boy when this thing hits a target it really "barks at you"! And over the Gold ring the tone to me sounded like "dig me dig me", everytime I passed over it. None the less these are the two meager finds that I could pull out of my back yard, nothing exciting but none the lest my first finds with the Excal 1000. Though I do find it harder to pinpoint with this machine...anyone have any tips on how this is done...by the way I was outside for 20 minutes before my lungs couldn't do it anymore...

I swear them machines do speak to you, I go out and some targets make a noise almost like an alien saying dig dig dig, others seem to say junk junk.... junk junk.......when you get in the zone the thing just speaks to you , its a really great feeling ........ hope you feel better soon and get some goodies

Hi

I would say when you find the target, swing it right and left and hear the loudest tone. Back up till you donT hear the tone any more.Move back forward and check it's there and keep swinging it sideways a little bit. Once you back up and itS quit the signal it should be right in front of the coil. Then turn 90 degrees and do the same. This will give you a good idea where it is, but the sovereigns arent always very accurate. a good pinpoiinter will do wonders.

Hi

Sorry, I forgot to tell you I had a Sovereign GT when I got a probe. It was a S1 probe but was made for the sovereigns. It will cut your time greatly in dirt. Your Excalibur is the same machine basically but for water. I don't know if you can use a probe with it. I bet you can. PM Rick (ND) He's a 9 year veteran with these things and is the best dealer you could find.
Thanks
Mark
