My FIRST ever GOLD ring! anyone ever seen one like it??

found this ring, then one scoop later the handle breaks off my sand flea rake that i use as an aluminum scoop.... =( that sucks.. but this is my first ever gold find!! that makes me want to jump around and dance (btw, this was the second time out with the excal ever, and first time in the water with it ever.. only ankle deep).. yay!!

stamped 14K 1G MEXICO (i think it says mexico) dont know what the 1g means either... maybe 1 gram? i dont have a scale...
