My first Connecticut Copper (1787)

Thanks everyone. As you may remember Bryce, I rarely do parks. You'll always find me deep in the woods with the ticks and deer. My passion is the colonial stuff.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

Colonial copper.. guess I can only dream of that.. Our colonial copper up here would be a large cent.. That was on my bucket list for many years... Congratulations

Congrats on the Ct copper and the Hibernia! I found a nice William copper this past Sunday and I was stoked! Not only one of my oldest (1701) coin finds but probably one of my nicest coppers as far as condition.
I'm in southern Ct and I also enjoy woods hunting. Be prepared for more Ct coppers as the Ma/Ct area is good for them.

Sweet, did you post pics of it? A few years back in NJ I found a 1699 WIII, albeit poor condition. It's my oldest coin so far.

I metal detected in NJ for 7 years and never once found a NJ copper, and yet there are people I know who have found like 30 of them. Suffice it to say, my track record with state coppers so far has been crappy, so I hope you're right about me finding more CT coppers. :D

Yes - pics posted and also of a super 2 reale I found the week before at the same location.
Posts should still be on this page or the 2nd. See:
