My first Chinese coin- I need help identifying please

I found this coin at a house built in 1910 and how can you even tell the date on this coin? Any help would be appreciate. I sure hope it is old

Thank you so much for that info! So this coin was in use back then right from 1736-1795?

More than likely. If you were near railroad or an old rail bed, the Chinese were laborers during the time of RR expansion. The coin could have been some china man's lucky charm?

Oh ok, very possible. This is my oldest coin, I am happy to have dug it out, it wasn't very deep say about 2 inches but the sidewalk was tore out. I might go back to see if I can find more. thanks!
 
I found one last year also. Someone told me they went to a Museum somewhere? They said Native Americans used to trade for these cash coins and use them as armor on their clothing! Either way there is some history there!!! Congrats on your oldest!!!

Thank you Timwed I truly love this hobby and I cant wait to find my first Indian Head penny. I hope to find one before the end of the summer.
