I didn't keep track of how many hours I hunted but the battery is just about dead so let's say 13 hours. I used the WM-10 the whole time and it's battery is still going strong so it looks like the battery life is well matched between the two units. I also hunted mostly in heavily hunted sites that many would consider "hunted out" just to see what the CTX would do in those places and I have to say that I am most pleased with the CTX.
I experienced the mystery shutdown twice during that time and it is a small inconvenience but not what I consider a deal breaker, I expect Minelab to offer a software upgrade to solve that problem when they figure out what is causing it.
Today's hunt was the most exciting of the several I had in the past week with the CTX. I saw the glint of gold in the dirt and it WAS a ring but the VDI was a little high. After a wash I knew it was not solid gold but it WAS stamped 16K Filled which means 20% 16K by weight. It's a keeper but the highlight of the day was a Seated dime, 1889. Not that I haven't found my share of Seated coins but this dime completes my dime quest from the old school yard I have been hunting for 20 years. I have taken friends hunting there and they have found Seated dimes but no, not me........ until today.... I guess my next goal for the old school yard is a half dime. Here are a couple of pictures of today's hunt.

This is a picture of my weekend finds which includes three Indians, 1865, 1897 and 1902 from a well hunted city park. The clad was found just messing around in a campground.

My first two hunts yielded three more Indians 1878, 1890 and 1899, all three came from a ghost town park that has been pounded by me and others.

All told by adding the wheat cents found, I consider the CTX 3030 quite a detector and I haven't even had a chance to go water hunting with it yet. To those waiting to buy the CTX............you are wasting time and treasures............get one.
