:super: WOW,what a great day!Went to a small park half a block away from me tonight, dates to about 1916 as for as the records I have found.Found a few wheat's and a 42 merc then got a deep 12-41 to 43 I thought it was another wheat but found a no date buffalo about 7" then hit it with the sun-ray and found a 1906 IH!! Now I'm stoked, have never found an old pocket spill :clapping: but rechecked the hole and there was one more surprise for me :) my first Barber Half!! WOOHOOO made my year I tell ya :bouncy: I will never part with this E-trac,thanks Richard for hooking me up buddy  Kurt

Way to go Kurt!! What a sweet find.

Good job on re-checking those holes, I just posted about that.

That is a real great find! Appreciate the story and photo. Wow, only 1/2 a block away. Bet the E-Trac already had is sniffed out; just waiting for you to escort it to the rendezvous point!!!

Big old silver sure gives a person a rush that has to be experienced to fully understand  Happy to see you got the opportunity first hand,Ray.

Congrats on a great find!

Outstanding find Kurt !

It's really tough to find the half's and dollars because their so big - hard to loose them.
I think it's possible that a good percentage of the larger coins we find could have been dropped when there was snow on the ground - so they couldn't be found.

Very Cool digs! Nothing better than that old deep shinning silver comming out of the hole, and a Barber half to boot. Nice shape. Congrats bro!

Very nice, great to hear that sweet sound and get t great find like that. Hope you find a dozen more.

Thanks guy's,there's actually a funny story to go with my finds but didn't have time to post it last night :) When I was at this park my neighbors grandson who is about 7 I think(I call him Dennis the Menace)followed me down there and stayed by my side like a rat on a cheeto :wiggle: So being a good sport I let him keep a few of the wheat's and most of the clad I found and let him listen to the bird chirps as he called it(pain in the rear he is)So I struck a deal with him(bad idea) the next wheat cent we found he could keep it if he went and played somewhere else :clapping: Well here comes the next good signal(what I thought was a wheat signal) We dig a plug,I see the buff and grab it(nope not a wheat he didn't want it) found the IH(same thing he didn't want anything to do with it)then came that half dollar,I picked it up,washed it off with my bottle of water(hands shaking at this point :surprised: )There's Dennis with big brown eyes(can I see it?)Sure be careful,he snatched it out of my hands and made a beeline for grandpa's house  I am in no shape to give chase and couldn't yell at him because of on lookers so filled in the hole gathered my things and went to grandpa's to hunt this barber thief down :starwars: Knocked on the door and started feeling like an a$$ for wanting my 50 cents back :look: Well he said I owed him a wheat but he would take this instead :nono: Grandpa was not happy with him so I struck another deal with this little Donald Trump,I gave him two new quarters for that old weird 50 cent piece  We all walked away happy and he thinks metal detecting is the coolest thing ever :smoke:

that's great find and story.Very good
