My first Barber dime!!

Pretty exciting day...we stopped by what appeared to be an old house and pulled in driveway to ask for permission. Ray, the owner, was a sweeheart and claimed the home was 200 years old. Not so sure about that but the house was definitely old!! Lo and behold in between 2 Buckeye trees, I found my first Barber dime - 1902. I was so excited. Thought it might be a seated at first but I am tickled to find this!! :super:

I think I will be dropping off some good ol' chocolate chip cookies for Ray!!!

Great find! There are more in that yard. Your cookies should get you unlimited hunting rights. One thing I do is try and hunt the close neighbors property. Ask Ray if he thought the neighbors might let you search their yards? Then you can knock on those doors and say " Ray next door was kind enough to let me scan his yard with my detector. He thought you might be so kind?" By using Ray's name alone may get you that Seated coin you desire......

Now that's a beautiful site. The ladies have really UPed the men this weekend! Congratulations on your first Barber dime Betty! Thanks for the pictures.
