I just got mine tonight also, i am so pumped hehe...

first thoughts;

well balanced
not as heavy as i thought it would be
menus seem easy to navigate
headphones are not that heavy and comfortable, the sound in the headphones are going to take sometime to get use to.(use to my ghosts/etrac)

first changes: turned tones on in coin mode and lowered the vol.
2nd change will be to turn the vco pinpoint on.

first object dug was a 1959 nickel at 1.5 inches, it was on the side of my hole

I got a qtr hit but the sound was breaking on me and when X ing the target it was more broken in one direction, dug it just to see what it was and i had a rusty nail at about 6 inches
the graph was spiking real high and another was spiking low.

/\
/ \ kinda looked like this.

the nickel all 3 freq were in a tight patteren pointing up and i think it was hitting at the 22freq range Id was like 19

Like the subject line says it was 20 mins outside and most of it was playing with menus, sorry i am not great at laying it all out but i hope it helps from a newbie hehe

Hope to spend a few hours on saturday with it, suppose to rain and sunday were suppose to have snow again.

HI xGregX...heading out to the beach with mine today. Just picked it up the other day but must admit, I'm not 100% impressed with the dealer but maybe it's just me...Time will tell. I hope I'm wrong.
Hope to post some good news when I get back later today. Jim
