No comment i will keep trying.Anybody interested in how i cleaned those coins cheap, quick, and effortless they were as brown as anything.

Gotta question... How long did you let them soak in the tomato sauce? Is that all, just soak? Any other tricks you haven't mentioned?
We have a big jar full of brown Aussie coins that need cleaning. I was going to buy a tumbler, but a bottle of sauce is cheaper!
Also, just to clarify, by "tomato sauce" you mean the same stuff the Americans call "ketchup", right?

Hi Toby just a couple of hours will do it and if they are really bad give them a soak over night.If you want to shine them i use a silver cloth from the super market.

P.S. don't forget to tell the wife it's an easy clean for brass and copper too..
