A quiet day here in Cardiff, so heres a few of last years finds from within 20 minutes or so of my home. Nearly all found with a Minelab ExplorerII and a couple with the X-Terra 30 on a mixture of pasture, stubble and ploughed fields. Depths ranged from 2 inches down to 16 inches for the barrel tap.
Some of my favourite finds this year include the medieval Moors Head Jetton, Boars tusk, Denari of Trajan (98-117AD, Medieval bible clasp, Henry 1st 1100AD, a good selection of medieval hammered coins, crotal Bells, strangely a American silver dime 1838, the Georgian MB ring and the Barell Tap. All new finds to me. Wonder what 2010 will bring?
