My finds from Culpeper this weekend

ihuntrelics!

Well I didn't burn up the fields and woods but I did manage a few finds and a few first for me. The soil in Culpeper was the hottest I have ever had to contend with and unfortunately didn't have the machine really needed to do the job but I improvised and still come home with something to show for my effort. Thanks for looking and happy hunting!!

Nice digging, Scott! Love that thread left in the button! That's always cool. I have a thread in a coin folder that fell out after a peroxide bath on one button. But I was not going to simply toss it. After all, it's a relic too.

Don't feel too bad about your ration can pieces in the last picture. All we get down here is the center circle remaining. I've dug one complete one. But it was so deteriorated that is was more dirt than metal!

Nice digging right there.

Richard

Nice saves Scott! Considering how hot that dirt is up there you did pretty good. Lots of fellas at the DIV hunts in that area haven't done as well as you. Good to see you posting again!
