Went out for an hour back to my favorite spot...Wood's Field in Solvay, NY.
This is what I found:

Not too bad, but I think I have gotten most of the shallow finds in this field...I still get a few every time though...:detecting:

hello bh landstar, nice little pile you got there. i'm glad to see you could finally get out and do some detecting! i know the winters in syracuse are terrible. maybe the thaw is on the way. anyway, congrats on the haul! hh,

Very nice stuff!!!!

The ground where I was hunting was soft down to about 14 inches...It is a a bowl shaped field...flat in the middle with rises all around. The total measurements are about 200 by 150 yards. There is a Veterans memorial that is adjacent to the field, and I stay well clear of that...do not need the aggrevation of being told to leave, and do not want to be told to leave the field all together. Most of the above were dug at depths of 6 to 8 inches...As I have said, I have cleared most of the shallow targets, and I turn up the sens a little every time I go over the same ground. I just looked the weather, and we might get some more snow tonight...Will it ever end??? Just read an article on the Global Warming too, and I think I am gonna be moving south or south-west as soon as I can...the NE is gonna turn into a Winter Wonderland that will hang on longer and longer each year...:ban:
