I'm Published it's official.
Back in 2008 I found a steamship company button at a cellar hole dig. I was contacted by a family member from the company and they provided proof of who they were so I donated my button for them to have. Now it's in a nice book that just came out about steamships. They sent me a copy.
How nice is that. Karma

The advantages you guys have out there....incredible find with a really nice post script. And some people wonder why we detect....

Very neat! You are a great ambassador for our hobby.

Very nice find and a very nice gesture to donate it! Glad you received due recognition.

You did the right thing.....then they did too...must feel good to know that they appreciated it enough to include it in the book and give you the recognition...you also did a great job as a good will rep for our hobby

Great find, and the 'even better' part is donating it so it can be seen by others. Thank you for that!

That was a kind gesture of you and it makes all of us look good when we approach folks to metal detect. It just shows that its not about keeping everything we dig. That's what makes history !

Very cool Todd !

I spent more than 25 years diving on deep water Ship Wrecks off the NY and New England coast.
Congrats on getting a photo of your find published in the book !
