My find for the day:

Nancy-IL

Well-known member
If I didn't have to work today, I would have gone hunting with Larry. BIG day tomorrow. But if I hadn't worked today, I wouldn't have found my find for the day!

There's an old property that I've had my eye on for quite some time and I drool every time we pass by it. Well, I found out who owns it. I even worked with him today. Then would you believe their daughter use to babysit for my son YEARS ago. Needless to say.............We've got the green light. :twodetecting: ! He told me about the house being built way before they had electricity and inside water / plumbing and it's VERY old! :bouncy: :surprised: Now if the weather cooperates. It was to be in the upper 40's this weekend and now they say Brrrrrrrr cold. Sure wish the meteorologist would make his mind up. :rage: Oh well, it will still be there when it is warmer to detect. Oh, there's one request from the owner.........IF I find $1 million, he wants half. I think that's fair enough! Don't you? HH to all and thanks for listening to me ramble, Nancy

I would not care how cold it got I would be hunting that home rain or shine. You lucked out Nancy. Can't wait to see what you find. HH Dennis in Idaho

I wish I could go, but the cold air does havoc with my Asthma. And it's not worth going through all that. Believe me, I would love to go if I could. For now, I'll only have to dream. Thanks and HH to all, Nancy

Rrrr, dreaded athsma. I get it too but my enemy is wind born pollen, dust mites, msg, flavour enhancers, purfume, preservatives, paint fumes, deisel exhaust fumes,........pretty much everything realy. I am even allergic to the propellants used in inhalers themselves. Such is life. Have a good one Nancy and good luck when you do get the chance to hunt that spot.

B.T. you've got it bad. I won't complain one bit. You be careful out there and enjoy life to the fullest! HH, Nancy

Nah, sounds worse than it is. Up until 17 years ago it often nearly claimed my life on countless occasions but then I learnt what was doing what to me, what to avoid, I left the city never to return, took up detecting and Im pretty ok these days as long as I do the right things. There,s always someone worse off than ourselves but that still doesnt make it any easier for ourselves either with whatever ailes us.
Have a good one or have fun trying.

Maybe the weather man will be wrong again and itll be warmer. I bet you find somethin good at that place, hope you do anyway.
Funny what we go thru for what we enjoy. My right arm is broke out from poison ivy, lol. And Im not allergic to it. We have mild winters down here in the deep South, but Im always glad when it gets cold enough for the sap to go down in that poison ivy and the mosquitoes dont come out, lol.
Hope it warms up for you, good luck,
John

I'm sorry you've got poison ivy John. Hopefully it won't last long. I've never had it myself, but have known others that has. It's terrible. Thanks so much for the kind words and so far, the weather looks good for Sunday. I think they said around 46 degrees. I can take that for a while. I'm sure we won't get much done, for it's a corner lot and it's quite a drive. At least what we don't get at Sunday, we are always welcome to come back. You get better and don't scratch. Let us know how you are and tell us about your finds. Don't care if it's a few pennies. It's a find and every little bit adds up in the end. HH to all, Nancy
