Howdy Folks,

I just uploaded a video of my Feb. 19th hunt using my new MXT. This is one great machine! I hope that you all enjoy.

I must confess that I enjoyed it. Many years ago, I did some metal detecting up there in Tulsa, along a road named Riverside that had some picnic tables in several small parks. Across the river, I found some spanish treasure signs, but never followed up on looking for it. I did do some research and found out that when the railroad track was being laid, think it was 1902 or there abouts, that some spanish coins washed down onto the railroad tracks. This is near where I had found the spanish treasure signs. These railroad tracks are owned by a public utility company up there in Tulsa. Also, I hear tell that some spanish treasure signs were also found over near the Coca Cola Plant further north of this site. Over on the old Turkey Mountain area across the river is where there use to be lots of moon shine stills. As a matter of fact, the old boot legging queen of moon shine, I believe her name was Cleo Epps, was murdered on Turkey Mountain. You might do some research on some of the old still sites, might find some good treasure. Thanks for sharing the video, I enjoyed it. Kelley (Texas) :)

The main thing is to get out and have fun....
As far as the snow, you can have our share of the snow & ice,
we don't need it here in central Okla.

I used to drive up to Tulsa once a month to ride Trials and was a member of the club there.
Met a lot of nice people and had a lot of fun..
Have fun & HH..

Thanks Kelly, I'm familiar with the West side Tracks you're talking about. I new that Turkey Mountain had some history surrounding it but from what you said I really need to get there. I recieved a gift of tulsa history books from my mother-in-law and it has tons of photos from the beginnings of Tulsa clear up to the 1980's. The other day I ran into a "Waterfall" that was a hot spot for people to go to back in the 1920's but had been "lost" and forgotten. It will take some doing to get into that area but the reward could be well worth it.

I've hunted the area on mingo at the old school didn't hang around long for some reason could have been that same being checked out situation,I like to hunt with you and eagle eye,I'm here in Tulsa.I tried to get you a pm but it said you wasn't set up to receive them my number is 918 237-1000 give me a call if you would name is Jamie Wilkes

Hi Dutch, Glad to have you on board. You're going to love that MXT. The more you use it, the more you'll like it. Thanks for the video and HH, Nancy

a Big THANKS to everyone for watching my videos. I should have a new one coming out in the next day or two but when I get it uploaded I'll post a new message. Jamie I will try and contact you in the next week, things have been pretty busy around my homestead and next week the weather is suppose to be getting more normal.

I enjoyed your video Dutch, great way to share. The ground looks very dry and hard over in your parks, is that because the winter snow has burned off the grass?

Regards

Kathleen,

Our grass tends to die back in the winter, I guess thats due to the 0 degrees one day 50degrees the next. The nice thing is that way its generally not too long in between hunts.:twodetecting:

hey Dutch..
I enjoy your videos.

The MXT is a SWEET little machine isn't it?

I have a DFX 300 and I STILL choose the MXT when I am unsure of the ground as it's easier to adjust.

Happy Hunting.

Nice clip on your MXT, I have one and enjoy it also. Can't get out right now cause of the snow, but when it clears I'll surely be out there swinging my MXT again.. I live up here in Montana, but would like to hear from you again or see one of your films..
